For over twenty years, the experienced staff at Mixed Media has provided first-rate service and quality art and drafting supplies to professional and beginners alike. Out of their love of art and design, Katherine Keller and Janeen Schwartz launched Mixed Media in 1984 in a small red barn on Clinton Street in Doylestown, PA. As the business grew it relocated to the current location at 323 South Main Street in Doylestown.

In 2000, Thomas Sperling became Keller's partner at Mixed Media. Tom's vision of a community oriented gallery supporting area artists soon became a reality, opening in 2001. Under his guidance the Gallery became known for its unusual, fun and exciting exhibits.

In late 2006 Tom left the business and Margaret Mattheson took over as manager. Kathy and Margaret began another expansion, requiring a major renovation of the old part of 323 South Main to create a new Gallery space and expanding the store and products.

Mixed Media is the oldest independent art store in the region, and now offers not only a wide range of art supplies, but also classes and an Open Studio, custom framing and exhibitions in the new Gallery.
