Those in the know come early to have a first
shot at the selection of over 300 pieces of $40 original art. Last year lines began
forming at 3 pm snaking off the porch, down the walkway and out to the sidewalk by
Opening at 5 pm.
The premise of this very unique exhibit is simple.
All works are limited to 5 x 7, are sold for $40 and, most importantly, are sold
anonymously. Only after a piece is purchased is the name of the artist revealed. A
purchase might reveal that for $40 one has acquired the work of one of the areas top
artistsor the work of an unknown artist to watch out for. Those with some familiarity
with specific artists styles search among the 300 plus pieces for those they hope to
add to their collection.

New in 2008
This year a new twist has been added. Artists have
been able to submit up to five pieces, with the guarantee that two will be exhibited.
If those sell, following Opening Night, their sold pieces will be replaced with two more
works from that artist. This will ensure that the exhibit will continue to have fresh
pieces throughout the exhibit, encouraging return visits, and yet the exhibit will always
have a full complement of pieces.
The exhibit will be open through July 28. The gallery
is open seven days a week during store hours, Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday
10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 12 to 4 pm.
